Embattled Maina remanded in prison custody

A Judge of the  Federal High Court, Abuja division has today, 25th October 2019, ordered that the the embattled former chairman of the Pension Reforms Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, be remanded in prison custody.
The remand order was made by the Honorable Justice Okon Abang following a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Maina pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts which include money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.
The matter was subsequently adjourned to October 30, 2019 and November 19, 2019 for trial.
Maina, arrived the court house alongside his son Faisal who was in turn remanded in police custody.
