High Chief Obiora Okonkwo Ph.D (Founder pro Value Humanity
Foundation) visiting with some victims of the recent fire incidents that engulfed parts of Onitsha, the commercial nerve centre of Anambra State, South East Nigeria. He visited some of the victims receiving medical attention at Toronto Hospital, Onitsha on the 19th of October 2019.
 One of the fire incidents destroyed a greater part of Ochanja Market. The market is a hub for distribution of clothes, footwears and other items attracts customers from as far north as Sokoto State. 

High Chief Okonkwo who himself grew up in Onitsha was visibly pained at the sight of the victims as well as the quantum of carnage the fire wrath and couldn't but help ask rhetorically, "How many times will this happen?"


A trailer laden with diesel had lost control (according to other reports), crashed, spilt it contents and burst into flames.



High Chief Okonkwo visited some of the scenes of the fire incidents where the indomitable spirit of the Igbos was visible. The victims had literally picked themselves up and begun rebuilding their lives and livelihood.



Good gestures from well meaning Nigerians from all over the country and beyond have been pouring in in support of the victims to ensure that there pains ameliorated.

Okonkwo, also met with the management of Toronto Hospital where he pledged to offset the bills of the victims.
